Loose Leaf Herbal & Fruit Infusions
Kusi Kups was born at our own kitchen table. As parents of two, a toddler and a young child, we found ourselves constantly reading labels, juice boxes, flavored drinks, powdered mixes. Even products marketed for kids often contained added sugars, artificial colors, or ingredients we couldn’t fully understand. We weren’t looking for perfection, we were looking for control. Something simple, something we could prepare ourselves, something where we recognized every ingredient inside. Kusi was created from that need, to offer thoughtful families a different option, one rooted in ingredients that have existed for centuries and have remained essentially unchanged, herbs, flowers, and fruits.
A Tradition That Didn’t Need Reinventing
I grew up in Peru, where herbal infusions are part of everyday life. After lunch or dinner, it’s common to hear, “¿Un té de hierbas?”, a simple herbal tea to close the meal. Chamomile for calm, mint for freshness, anís or lemon verbena to settle after food.
This rhythm is not unique to Peru. Across Latin America, Europe, North Africa, and Asia, herbal and fruit infusions have been part of family tables for generations, grandmothers drying herbs, mothers steeping leaves in the evening, warm cups passed quietly after long days.
These traditions were never marketed as trends, they were simply part of life.
As we navigated parenting in a world filled with constantly changing nutrition advice and highly processed drinks, we found comfort in something steady, whole botanicals prepared simply in water, just as they have been for hundreds of years.
Not as medicine, not as a miracle, just as part of a thoughtful routine.
About Our Ingredients
Our herbal and fruit ingredients are grown using organic practices. While Kusi Kups is not currently USDA Organic certified, our sourcing partners cultivate without synthetic pesticides or artificial additives. Formal certification involves audits, documentation, and licensing agreements, a process we may pursue as we continue to grow. We believe in transparency about where we are, what matters most to us is the integrity of the ingredient itself.
When you open a pouch, you should see real chamomile flowers, pieces of dried fruit, whole leaves. You should smell the plant, not artificial perfume.
Some blends include natural flavors derived from plant sources. These are used thoughtfully and sparingly to enhance balance, never to overpower the tea. Our teas are blended in small batches to preserve freshness and maintain quality.
No artificial colors.
No synthetic flavorings.
No added refined sugars.
Caffeine free.

A Gentle Note
Kusi Children blends are herbal and fruit infusions intended for enjoyment as part of a balanced lifestyle. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If your child has medical conditions or specific dietary needs, consult your pediatric healthcare provider before introducing herbal infusions.
Moderation is always encouraged.
From Our Family to Yours
Kusi began with two small cups on our own table. It started with questions about what we were serving every day, and grew from a desire to offer something steadier, something that felt aligned with our values as parents.
Our home is guided by faith, gratitude, and responsibility. Those values shape how we source, blend, and share Kusi. We believe that small choices, repeated daily, shape how our children experience the world.
In Peru, and in many cultures, tea has always been part of family life, not loud, not dramatic, just present. We are not reinventing tea, we are returning to it.
Kusi means joy. And sometimes joy is as simple as knowing what’s inside the cup you’re serving.
From our family to yours, thank you for being here.
