Tradition, Quality, and Everyday Enjoyment
Tea is more than a beverage. It is a ritual woven into daily life across cultures for centuries.
In Peru, Latin America, Asia, and Europe, families have long enjoyed both true teas and herbal infusions after meals, during quiet mornings, or in intentional pauses throughout the day.
Our adult blends grew from that same curiosity: whole leaves, fragrant herbs, and carefully selected fruits, chosen for their integrity and flavor.
Blended in small batches, these ingredients preserve freshness, aroma, and the natural character of each plant, offering a mindful experience in every cup.
A Tradition That Spans Cultures
True tea, derived from the plant Camellia sinensis, traces its roots to ancient China. From this single plant come several traditional tea styles:
• Green tea
• Black tea
• White tea
• Oolong tea
• Pu-erh tea
Each variety is shaped by unique processing methods, flavor profiles, and cultural traditions.
Herbal infusions, often called tisanes, carry equally rich histories.
For centuries people around the world have brewed plants such as:
• Chamomile in Europe
• Hibiscus across Africa
• Mint in Morocco
• Muña, hierbaluisa, and guanabana (soursop) leaves in Peru
These plants naturally contain compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, and aromatic oils.
Researchers including Dr. Jeffrey Blumberg of Tufts University and Dr. Yukihiko Hara have studied these compounds for their antioxidant properties and plant chemistry.
While research continues to explore these compounds, tea is not considered a treatment. It is appreciated primarily for flavor, ritual, and the quiet enjoyment of a thoughtfully prepared cup.
Why Loose Leaf Tea Matters
Loose leaf tea differs from bagged tea in a fundamental way.
Whole or large fragments of leaves retain their structure, allowing them to fully expand during brewing. As the leaves open in hot water, they release a broader range of flavor and aroma compounds.
This process creates a richer sensory experience compared to the finely milled tea often found in standard tea bags.
Herbal infusions follow the same principle.
Carefully selected leaves, flowers, fruits, and roots are blended to create flavor and aroma, while preserving the visual beauty and integrity of the botanicals themselves.
A Thoughtful Brewing Experience
Our blends are produced in small batches using visible botanicals and natural flavors whenever possible.
We avoid artificial colors and synthetic additives, focusing instead on balance, aroma, and taste.
Loose leaf tea also invites a more mindful brewing practice. You can adjust:
• Steeping time
• Water temperature
• Amount of tea leaves
Quality leaves can even be re-steeped multiple times, revealing new layers of flavor with each infusion.
Brewing tea becomes less of a routine and more of an intentional pause, reflecting the same care used when selecting and blending each ingredient.
How to Prepare Loose Leaf Tea
Preparation varies depending on the type of tea or infusion.
General brewing guidelines include:
Green Tea
170–180°F
Steep 2–3 minutes
Black Tea
Near boiling (200–212°F)
Steep 3–5 minutes
Herbal Infusions
Near boiling
Steep 5–7 minutes or longer depending on taste
Adjusting temperature and steep time helps extract the full character of the leaves without introducing unnecessary bitterness.
Sustainability and Simplicity
Loose leaf tea also offers environmental advantages.
Because it typically requires less packaging than individually wrapped tea bags, it can reduce waste. Loose leaf tea also avoids some concerns related to microplastics that may be present in certain synthetic tea bag materials.
Choosing whole leaf tea is often a simpler and more transparent way to enjoy the plant as it naturally exists.
A Shared Ritual
Our family brings intention, care, and experience to every step of the process.
We prioritize responsible sourcing, transparency, and quality, creating blends we would confidently serve in our own home.
Tea has always connected people across generations and cultures. It invites presence and enjoyment in small daily moments.
We are honored to share that connection with you, offering leaves, botanicals, and flavors chosen for their quality, tradition, and integrity.
