Typica – Microlot | Cusco

This limited edition Typica microlot comes from Yawarwaccac, grown at 2,070 meters to showcase the varietal’s clarity, balance, and heritage. Carefully washed and fermented for 36 hours, then slow dried on raised beds for 20 days, this coffee reflects precision, patience, and attention at every step.
Typica is a classic Arabica varietal, revered for its elegant structure and refined flavors. Naturally low-yield and historically significant, it produces bright, nuanced cups with vibrant acidity and complex floral and fruit notes, each sip a reflection of care and connection to the land.
In the cup, watermelon, lemon iced tea, and vibrant floral notes create a lively, refreshing profile. Bright acidity is balanced by a rich body, leading to a crisp, uplifting finish that lingers beautifully.
Produced in limited quantities, this microlot offers a rare and expressive taste of Cusco’s high altitude terroir, shaped by dedication and careful cultivation.

Lares is an area where the main economic activity is the raising of South American camelids (both wild and domesticated species of animals including llamas, alpacas, vicunas and guanaco). Over the years, he has managed to improve his processes every year and we are proud of the quality of his coffee.
